The symptoms associated with throat disease can range from
severe throat pain and difficulty swallowing to mild but persistent irritation.
Beyond the oral exam, the structure in the pharynx and the larynx with minimal
discomfort. This is a simple procedure performed by passing a small scope
through the nose after the use of topical anesthetic. In addition, we now have
the capability of examining the entire esophagus using a longer fiber optic
scope in the office in select patients. This can help avoid the need for
examining the esophagus under general anesthesia.
